Wheat Belly Was The Scariest Book I’ve Ever Read!!!
My name is Joe and I love food…I’m a true addict. This is my first post on my new site that my brother Clint and I just started. I’m very excited to share the knowledge I’ve gained over the last 16 years as well as my personal experience so that I can help people and make a difference in the world.
It exhausts me to watch people (myself included) walk around and not be happy about their bodies and not be informed about the truth and the simplicity of what health really is. The hospitals are full and we don’t have a fighting chance unless we stand up and get the word out.
My new years resolution has been to stop eating all wheat products indefinitely. I’ve been lifting weights and doing cardio for years, but I keep growing in my stomach area because I’m addicted to wheat and carbs. On January 3rd, I began reading Wheat Belly by Dr. William Davis. His book is easily one of the scariest books I’ve ever read. If you want to put a stop to the craziness and really get informed, I think you should read this book!
I was searching through audible.com and stumbled upon his book and began listening. It captivated me because he was talking about me as well as half the people I know. I often find myself talking about the problems that are written in that book and I finished his book within 4day’s.
I learned about the book by listening to Jimmy Moore’s podcast: The Livin La Vida low Carb Show. I’d like to personally thank him for everything he’s ever put on his podcast and blog because he’s completely and totally changed my view about nutrition and fitness. Thank you Jimmy…job well done!.
When I find myself eating things made from wheat, I find myself continuously craving these types of foods. It’s like this strange demon that whispers “EAT,” and it doesn’t stop with bread. Chocolate and sugars do the same thing to me and it literally makes me feel weak.
Since the 1st of 2012, I haven’t touched ANY wheat or sugar and my sweet tooth has pretty much subsided. His book also goes into ADHD, schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s, arthritis, weight gain, cancer and many other diseases that have been linked to or are caused by too much of this genetically modified wheat. It’s in so many of the things we put into our bodies on a daily basis without even thinking.
We have created this site a hub and directory so that people can easily find a way to get helpful tips.
